TULSA LOVES: BUNGOMA

David Sabwa is a friend of mine who Pastors a small community of Christians in Bungoma Kenya.  He, his wife and their 3 sons live in a small 1 room brick house that He and I built the last time I visited him.  He and his family have worked to create a safe community where the people of Bungoma can have their needs met, whether they be emotional or material.  Drug addiction, unemployment and alcoholism are spreading at an alarming rate, especially among the youths, so the need for a place like this is evident.  David is a Kenyan native and so his work thus far has not been funded by western investors, it has been a completely grassroots operation, started by people in the community for the community.  In the 8 years I have known David he has never asked me for a dime.  Recently he has encountered some time sensitive monetary needs that implore my help.  As his ministry has grown the local government has taken notice and is now requiring him to pay a $300 registration fee to stay in operation.

THIS IS WHAT I MUST RAISE TODAY.

In addition to the fee, I would love to be able to send him extra money that would allow him to build another room onto his home.  Everything you give today will go directly to David Sabwa and will affect the lives of the people of Bungoma Kenya in a tangible and personal way.

Thank You.
